RenderPal V2 is compatible with Wine, the popular Windows emulator for Linux and MacOSX. This means that you can run all graphical (Windows) components of RenderPal V2 under Linux and MacOSX.
Running RenderPal V2 with Wine is easy. First, you need to install Wine on your machine. The best resource to get Wine (and general information/instructions about it) is the Wine webpage: http://www.winehq.org. RenderPal V2 was tested with Wine 0.9.60. Once Wine has been installed, you will need to get the desired Windows component of RenderPal V2 (server, client or remote controller) onto your Linux/Mac machine. The easiest way to do this is to just copy an existing directory over to the new machine. It should also be possible to run the Windows setup under Wine. Once both Wine and RenderPal V2 are installed, you can simply start the RenderPal V2 Windows executable with Wine (there are several ways to do this; refer to the Wine website for more information). There are no special prerequisites to use RenderPal V2 with Wine. Now you can use the nice Windows GUIs under Linux and MacOSX!
