Welcome to renderpal.com

Welcome to renderpal.com, home of RenderPal V2, the professional Render Management System for more than 25 renderers and compositing applications, including Maya, Mental Ray, XSI, 3D Studio MAX, Lightwave, Cinema 4D, Shake, After Effects, Realflow and many more.

Latest version: 2.1.0

The first point release of RenderPal V2 brings several major new features, including parallel renderings on a single client, a completely new custom renderer management, extended automatic pool assignment (with multiple IP ranges support), multiple net job dependencies, automatic and manual Wake-on-LAN for clients, as well as support for several new renderers (V-Ray for Maya, 3Delight, SiTex Air, Combustion, Digital Fusion and Houdini). Many other aspects of RenderPal V2 have been improved as well, and several bugs have been fixed. Full release notes and a changelog can be found below.

We have also added the first bunch of submitter scripts for various renderers, allowing artists to submit new net jobs to RenderPal V2 directly from within their renderer or compositing application. They can be separately downloaded here.

Our user forum now contains a section for custom renderers, where you can share your own renderers with other users. You will also find additional factory presets that are not included in the RenderPal V2 package.

RenderPal V2 released

We at Shoran Software are proud to announce the release of RenderPal V2.

RenderPal V2 incorporates numerous new features and improvements, which were mainly based on comments and suggestions from our users. With large, high-end render farms in mind, we rewrote many parts of RenderPal to guarantee a stable workflow at all times.

Beside the improved reliability, managing and maintaining large render farms with ease is a key requirement of any solid Render Management System. New features like the automatic update deployment, the Remote Controller (which supersedes the Job Submitter), and the ability to remotely configure clients make RenderPal V2 more comfortable than ever.

Another important aspect of RenderPal V2 are its flexibility and extensibility. Net job events allow you to execute programs, system commands or even Python scripts on various events that occur during the lifetime of a net job. Custom renderers are easier to create now, and together with our Python support, it is even possible to create script based custom renderers.

The monitoring capabilities of RenderPal V2 have also been greatly improved. More information is visible to the end user, and the new net job chunk list allows for a detailed overview and control of a net job and its various parts. As often requested by our users, it is now also possible to remotely view events and output from any client. To cope with the large amount of pools, clients and net jobs found in a render farm, we integrated view filters into RenderPal V2, which allow for showing only items that match certain user-defined criteria.

Licensing changes

RenderPal V2 uses a simplified licensing model. From now on, users can buy the exact amount of clients (referred to as nodes) they need. The site license, which supports an unlimited number of clients, is also still available. For details, take a look at our online shop.

But this is not all. To support private users and small startup companies, we are now also offering a 3 nodes license for free. Yes, it is entirely free, and everyone can get one by simply registering here.
